Pandemic Winter Fashion Challenge
How to meet our core needs for connection and community when it’s unsafe to share air and it’s uncomfortable to be outdoors? After a summer and fall of wildfires and unpredictable air quality, the arrival of winter 2020 brought new obstacles: dark, cold and wet. I declared a Pandemic Winter Fashion Challenge to inspire people to bring queer imagination to “Hot Looks for Fresh Air Socializing in the Chill.” In addition to a one-time in-person event, we had a number of virtual contributions.
”Wear a mask! Keep a 6’ distance! Stay creative and spread the love, not the virus!”
All groups are either podded together, or posed for under one minute outside while not breathing.
